The Project

Between Artists: Life in Paintings and Prose is a collaboration between Montana-based painter Tabby Ivy and writer Damon Falke, who makes his home in the north of Norway. Having become familiar with and admiring each other’s work from afar, Tabby and Damon met for the first time in 2019. Soon after meeting, they decided to explore each other’s work further by searching for common themes in their artistic expression. It was not long into the process when they realized any exploration of their work awakened a sense of appreciation for the people and places and other work that has touched their lives.

Between Artists is an ongoing virtual journal of their friendship, creative curiosity and exploration of the place making art has in their lives. Some of the collections from Between Artists, including essays and additional paintings, will be archived on the artists’ personal websites, at tabbyivy.com and damonfalke.com. You are encouraged to visit their websites and to friend or follow them on Facebook where there will be additional updates about their work and the exhibition premiering this summer at the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell, Montana.
